Tickets for Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, Alberta Theatre Projects, and Theatre Calgary must be purchased at their respective box offices. The details below apply to the Arts Commons Box Office only.

Ticket Types

Digital Tickets

We are thrilled to be able to share our new secure digital ticket delivery system, True Tickets. True Tickets uses dynamic QR codes to keep your tickets secure and can be added to your Apple Wallet (not yet Android compatible). Once you have purchased your tickets through artscommons.ca, please follow these steps to access your ticket: 

1. Log into wallet.artscommons.ca.
2. Locate your event and tap to view your ticket.
3. Your ticket is ready to be scanned. Present your QR code at the door.

Please note: Some events still use our legacy Mobile Tickets which can be accessed through your Werklund Centre account. In this case, please download or print your mobile tickets ahead of your event. Turning up the screen brightness on your mobile device is best for ticket scanning.

Physical Tickets

To improve the patron experience, Werklund Centre has moved to a digital ticketing system. Upon request, physical tickets can be printed and mailed at an additional fee. Delivery estimate is 7-14 business days. If your tickets do not arrive within a week of the performance, please contact Box Office at 403-294-9494 or email boxoffice@werklundcentre.ca. If your tickets were purchased though Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, Alberta Theatre Projects, and Theatre Calgary please contact their box offices directly. 

Will Call 

In some cases, you will have been informed that your tickets will be available at Will Call. The day of the event, tickets may be picked up at the event venue, 1.5 hours prior to event start time. You will need to show government issued photo identification and the credit card used to purchase the tickets at the time of pick-up. Tickets can only be picked up by the credit card holder with the valid credit card used to make the purchase. Note that there are often lineups, so we encourage you to arrive at least 45 minutes ahead of the performance. 

Gift Certificates

You can purchase and activate a Gift Certificate in person, by phone, or online at the Werklund Centre Box Office. Gift certificates can be redeemed for tickets to any single-ticket event or subscription sold through the Werklund Centre Box Office.

Purchase Policy 

Ticket Limits and Availability 

Please adhere to published ticket limits. Persons who exceed the ticket limit are subject to having any or all of their orders and tickets cancelled without notice by Werklund Centre. This includes orders associated with the same name, email address, billing address, credit card number or other information. 

Werklund Centre rents venue space to event providers. Our event provider clients decide at their sole discretion which of their tickets are made available for public sale. The tickets we sell belong to our clients and may represent only a portion of (and sometimes substantially less than) the total venue seating capacity. On occasion, additional tickets may be released by the event provider as late as the event date. 

Tickets may not be available in all price levels and sections. Ticket prices are also subject to change. 

Babes in Arms

Should you wish to attend an Werklund Centre Presents performance with an infant aged below two years, no ticket will be required, but they will need to be accommodated on the parent or guardian’s lap, as no seat will be allocated. Children over the age of two require a seat and therefore a paid ticket.  

Ticket Delivery and Pick-up Specifications 

The tickets are shipped to your billing address only. If you selected to have your tickets mailed to you, and do not receive your tickets one week prior to the event please contact the Box Office through which you purchased your tickets. 

Tickets may only be picked up from the box office where the tickets were purchased by the credit card holder with the valid credit card used to make the purchase, in addition to government issued photo identification. Tickets may be picked up 90 minutes prior to the event start time. To avoid line ups we recommend arriving at the venue box office no later than 45 minutes prior to event start time.

Refunds, Exchanges, and Transfers

Werklund Centre will not issue an exchange or refund for a ticket after it has been purchased. Werklund Centre also will not issue a refund for a lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed ticket or gift certificate (or credit card in the case of a paperless ticket) or for a ticket claimed to be "undelivered". 

Tickets or gift certificates may not be used for advertising, promotion (including contests or sweepstakes), or other trade or commercial purposes without the express prior written consent of Werklund Centre.

Werklund Centre or Arts Commons Gift Certificates may not be exchanged for cash. Promotional discounts cannot be used to purchase Gift Certificates. The recipient of the gift certificate is responsible for all transactions made using the Gift Certificate. Unfortunately, lost or stolen Gift Certificates cannot be replaced or refunded.

Event Cancellations 

If an event is cancelled or postponed, patrons will be contacted with options. The Werklund Centre Box Office can only issue refunds to ticket holders who have purchased their tickets through the Werklund Centre Box Office. 

Facility fee

All tickets purchased include a facility fee (Capital Replacement Fund surcharge) of $1 to $3 per ticket which is restricted for the purpose of maintaining the venue and facilities into the future.

Information Verification and Usage 

All orders are subject to credit card approval and billing address verification. After your order is processed, please contact our box office at 403-294-9494 if you have any questions regarding your order. Please note charges processed by the Werklund Centre Box Office. Please note charges processed by the Werklund Centre Box Office appear as "Werklund Centre" on credit card statements. If your purchase is before August 2025, "Arts Commons" will appear on your credit card statements.

By ordering a ticket to an Werklund Centre Presents event, you agree to Werklund Centre sending you purchase related communications and occasional promotional emails, unless you elect otherwise in your Werklund Centre Account.  

By attending an event at Werklund Centre, you consent to the use of your likeness and comments in reporting and promotional materials unless indicated to Werklund Centre representatives that you would like to be excluded from recordings. 

By ordering or purchasing a ticket through the Werklund Centre box office you are consenting to Werklund Centre sharing your email address and other information with those involved in this event (e.g., venues, artists' representatives and fan clubs, promoters and leagues) for customer service purposes. Those involved in the event may use your information to contact you via email or other means, to send you marketing or other materials. Please contact them directly to learn about their policies and/or to update your preferences.
